In 2015, our family was deeply moved by the challenges facing pollinator species. Motivated to make a difference, we took the initiative to establish The Bees Knees Apiary. Starting with just two hives, our humble efforts have since flourished into a thriving community of 43 hives across six bee lots.

Our journey began in the serene vicinity of Mississagua Lake, nestled within the verdant expanse of the Kawartha Highlands. Additionally, our bees found a home in south Ajax, where they thrive on the property of an organic gardener, adjacent to conservation land and the glistening waters of Lake Ontario. More recently, our commitment led us to establish apiaries at Wild Blue Acres Lavender Farm, Bridlebrook Farm Flowers, and B’More Sunflower Farm in Whitby.

At The Bees Knees Apiary, we take immense pride in ensuring that our bees forage on natural fields, untainted by harmful chemicals like pesticides, fertilizers, and herbicides. The health and well-being of our buzzing companions remain our utmost priority. The exquisite honey and other products we gather from our hives are not just commodities to us; they represent a shared commitment to sustainability and the preservation of our ecosystem.

As a small operation, we handle our bees with meticulous care and gentleness. Our approach to honey harvesting is deliberate, emphasizing small-batch production and meticulous handcrafting.
